Last year I came to the conclusion that my dear yorkie "Chiqui" would never be able to hop onto the furniture like my mix breed Fifi.  It was a dissapointment because I love the structure and face of the yorkie breed, which translates into the fact that I want MORE of them. 

But it is always wonderful to have them hop onto the bed or the sofa (in my house they are allowed to do that, so long as they dont pee on the furniture).  Chiqui likes to sleep next  to me in my lounging chair, where I usually work.  Its big enough for both of us and I can pet him whenever I want, but I always have to pull him up.

Ever since then, though I have caught him on what I thought were "lucky" moments, sitting on a chair where I know I did not place him in, and of course, when he is excited about something he would jump up and down so much that he might get  a lucky break.

This week, I was amazed to see him jump effortlessly into a chair, not once, twice or three times, pretty much whenever he likes. So now there is the joy of knowing he can join me whenever he wants, but also the knowledge that sometimes HE DOESNT want to sit with me!

Go figure, I still love my beautiful Chiqui, so now I am devising strategies to get him to want to join me in the chair..
